  • SF Bay Area readers -- Drinking Liberally and lots of cool people are having a low-dollar fundraiser this Wednesday for Ethan Berkowitz, the dude that will help rid Congress of Alaska Rep. Don "Bridge to Nowhere" Young. So join us for merriment:

    Medjool
    Wednesday, March 12
    6:30 to 8 PM
2516 Mission street (between 21st and 22nd, so close to BART)
    San Francisco

Bring yourself and your spare change for the cause. Remember, I polled this race back in December, and Berkowitz already had a 49-42 lead against the long-term (and incredibly corrupt) Young.

  • Okay, Greg Mitchell's look back at the disastrous tradmed coverage of Iraq hurt quite a bit. And no matter how bad people note it was, it was worse still.
  • IL-14: Republicans are blaming Oberweis for their crushing special election defeat here. In reality, the whole GOP can share in the blame. It was a true team effort.
  • What happened to all the Ron Paul supporters?
  • Of all the people in the world, why is adulterer David Vitter inserting "abstinence only" crapola in the emergency AIDS relief package for Africa?
  • How many delegates will Clinton pick up in Pennsylvania? The expectations are set at 19 percent of the popular vote. Al Giordano goes district by district and suggests Clinton will win the state delegate count 92-66, or +26 delegates. Bowers checks Giordano's predictions and comes up with a smaller margin 84-74 Clinton. I'll go with Giordano's numbers. That, along with the SUSA poll, is where Clinton needs to be in six weeks to meet expectations -- 19 points in the popular vote, and +26 in the delegate count.
  • It's cute when right-wingers don't even try to hide their hypocrisy.
  • McCain's Straight Lobbyists Express.
  • The big question is whether I have passed the "blogger threshold". I submit that I haven't.
  • This makes me want to throw up. (How's that for a teaser to click the link? But it's true.)
