The Burn Bush page is aiming to raise $100K for Darcy Burner by the end of Monday. You see, Bush is coming in for a $10,000/head fundraiser. We can't match the millions he can raise, but we can build a people-powered army that, over the course of the campaign, will be far more valuable than the Bush/Reichert millionaires.

They're at $42,209, with 1,253 contributors. Almost halfway there.

I had a different goal -- 1,250 contributors across all ActBlue on behalf of Burner on Friday afternoon. (For example, she's also listed on our Blue Majority page.) We started with about 500, and got the other 700+ in about six hours. Pretty cool.

So we're now at 1,567 contributors at the time of this post. That's how many people have decided to back a good Democrat in a very winnable race. But we're an army wielding $35 donations, not $10,000 ones. So we need backup. Lots of it. Don't be ashamed if you can only give a little. All of us can only give a little. But enough of us give a little, and you have something.

So let's get to 3,000 contributors by Monday evening. Here or here, or at anyone else's ActBlue page, it doesn't matter. We can prove that a Bush visit won't come without costs.
